Anyone see the Venus, Jupiter and the moon tonight? Beautiful night to see it too....and more awesome knowing what you're looking at!

I meant to, but I totally forgot. We got wrapped up in online shopping and then the night was gone.

I saw them but didn't know what they were until now, when I saw your post. The two planets were extremely bright were just below the moon in the southwestern sky. At first I thought they were airplanes, but after looking at them again a couple of minutes later and they were in the same position I knew they weren't airplanes.

It was beautiful! I saw it around 6:30 when I left Home Depot--actually my son noticed and was like I told him that must be the "smiley face in the sky" I'd read about earlier in the day (a headline on Foxnews). So he proceeds to tell me that it was actually a frowny face, but oh well. It really was if you turned it so the "eyes" were on top instead of on the bottom. Awesome stuff!

We ran outside about 7pm, and it was clearly visible. My kids were so excited!

We could see it from the upstairs window - ran outside with my camera and caught a pretty decent picture (it was almost identical to the one WOAI ran on their broadcast last night.)

It was pretty neat - saw it at about 6pm on my drive home. Venus has been super bright lately anyway, but all three together was fun to see. You should be able to see it tonight as well, even if the moon won't be quite as close.

Bill Taylor said it won't happen again until 2012...

I went out around 7 and dragged everyone else out to see it. It was really awesome. Tried to take a picture with the digital camera, but only one turned out so-so. If we can still see it tonight, I'll try again, only with the tripod and bigger lens!
