Our yard is covered with a thin layer of sleet. No snow.

Don't take the wintry precip estimates on radar as solid truth... it's more of a cosmetic tool than scientific. They just run on preprogrammed algorithms based on model data and surface temps to estimate the rain/sleet/snow precip.

Doppler radar as is now cannot differentiate between hail, sleet, freezing rain, or snow.

I am in RBR--6 miles from 1604/Potranco and it is definitely snowing here. Nothing major, but definitely snow.

Driving home from the Rampage game tonight, as I was going down Military near Lockhill-Selma, there was solid sleet. Not mixed with rain, just all ice particiles. Even as I type this, I can still hear it hitting the windows. At 35 and 281 on the drive home, ran through a small hail storm. Pea sized hail.
