I work at a Whataburger, and yes, it does take forever to get the food, but it's because our stuff isn't frozen....we have to cut and do everything to prep for each shift. Why it takes so long....we actually make from scratch, we don't leave meat out to just reheat and serve, when you get the burger...its actually from fridge to grill to burger...not freezer to grill....wait....oh a customer...reheat...serve. I'm not a super supporter of Whataburger....but I know that our food is fresh...we get written up if it isn't served fresh. The reason our prices are high...quality and how much money we recieve from coorporate to pay for everything in our area. We only recieve so much to maintain our work environment which includes the food and the atmosphere. I'm not trying to sound like a know it all... I just know what I work for, and give answers for certain complaints and questions.

Wendy's makes the burger patties every morning with this big machine. Or at least they did when I worked there in 1986.. and they have chocolate frosties and chili, whataburger doesn't have either. case closed

I will preface this by saying that I do like the chili -- but I knew a guy who worked at Wendy's in High School and he said if you knew what went into the chili, you wouldn't eat it. But he never went into detail.

???

the chili was pretty simple, some tomato base stuff with seasoning, beans, onions and peppers, and leftover burgers. It actually makes good business sense since you're not wasting any of the mistake/leftover burgers.

I love Murf's Burgers! Has anyone tried Whataburger breakfast taquitos? I thought they were awful. I think it's best to stick to the burgers, that's why its called Whataburger.

All I know is I love me some Whataburger chicken tenders & gravy! The closest one to me is Naco/O'Connor, but I went there twice & refuse to go there again AWFUL SERVICE, but the one at Naco/1604 is great. My mom was a manager at a Whataburger for a couple of years and still eats there, so I trust they are pretty sanitary. Most Wensy's I venture to, I can't say the same about, except for the one at Nacogdoches & 410, they have an unbelievably wonderful woman working the drive thru at lunch time that has been there at least 15 years, she is great, fast & consistent.
