I've been in quite a few accidents (my insurance rates show it) and I have never been in any at any of these locations. Although I see one almost weekly near 10 & De Zavala in any direction. It's only going to get worse once they start actually adding that second lane.

281 and 1604 scares me. I avoid it at all costs. I think in the past year I've only been over there twice.

Sorry to hear that you have been in a lot of accidents... hopefully in the upcoming year you can slow that trend down.. as well as yourself ... (if they have been your fault)

My typical route is safe according to this list, too, but it doesn't make the 1604/Culebra intersection any more pleasant. Early afternoons are OK, but the mornings are absurd.

I'm working on it! It's been almost seven months *knock on wood*

Everywhere can be dangerous. I even find driving on the westside is dangerous sometimes with people parking on the right hand lane and then drivers do not get over when they know a car is parked there. I sped up to nearly 45 on Colorado a few nights ago so I didn't get hit by someone who waited to get over until the last minute.

That's my pet peeve when driving. I will let almost anyone over on the highway...but if you know your lane is going to end at some point, get the heck over asap so I don't have to accommodate for your anxiousness (and need to get 1 car ahead of me).

My #1 pet peeve are those people who insist that they need to talk on their cell phones (or send text messages) while they are driving.. I so miss the good ole days where none of this crap was going on and people were normally 100% watching what was going on in front of them instead of talking on the phone or texting.. not saying it occured 100% of the time .. but hell .. it sure was better then it is now..

As an example.. today someone was round a curve and almost hit me.. why? Because they were talking on the cell phone and forgot there was a curve there, or didnt see it..

Can someone hurry and ban cell phones conversations while driving? Trust me.. the damn converstations can wait until you stop.. they are not that important!! Especially if it ends an innocent life!

Well....Maggie Rios shares her wisdom again. Environmental studies while people are in danger, hurt or die? She sure has a way with words. TXDot needs to do something for a temporary fix to all that traffic. Anything to slow people down on 1604. I don't buy the "we can't do anything because there are too many drivers". Thanks Maggie....for being so concerned.

281 and Bitters was the worst intersection in the city about 6 years ago.....now it's not on the list. Calling these intersections "dangerous" is an undrestatement.

To me that environmental permit is a bunch of BS
Is not as if they are gonna build a refinery in the middle of a national park.
How long ago was that intersection built?
They are gonna wait until the traffic backs up to downtown to start doing all the research related to it?

To me is an excuse so that people will get fed up with the traffic and support a toll road.

That list confirms my belief that SA drivers do not know how to drive on a freeway. I've seen so many stupid acts on the freeway, mostly becasue people do not pay attention and drive way over the limit. 70 and a conversation with a back seat passenger do not mix.
I do my best to stay off the freeways. So far, so good.
