I live in Lookout Canyon Creek and currently am in search of a place for a new photography studio for my business. I thought the shops at Lookout would be a great location but when I went to look up the address they have on their banner an ad page came up. After doing my research with these types of strip malls I've come to the conclusion that the reason so many franchise types places end up here is because they are the only ones that can afford it. Subways, starbucks etc will always have loyal clientele making a profitable business that can afford such high rent. Mom and Pop places just can't make it in these types of places because of the ridiculous amount they will pay in rent. The Legacy strip mall wants $14,000 a month for a little over 600 sq ft. You do the math. No new business can swing that. It's really unfortunate.

There's now a sign up for 'Don't Overlook Nutrition' - maybe a GNC-type place playing on the street name?!

Would love to have a neighborhood pub type place here - just don't know if it'll ever happen.

Yes fitmommy it does. It would be nice if the businesses in the center were locally owned. I know I'd love to support local business owners! A pub would be a great fit too........

Unfortunately, only franchise type places will probably end up in there because they are guaranteed money makers.

Well - they proved us wrong and built a place with a great patio (and decent food) in firewater grille.

I hope everyone's patronizing the place - live music and beer within stumbling distance of home is a great thing!

New doggy daycare center opening also. I like that it is becoming a balanced shopping center.

Does anyone know what they are building in the parking lot of The Shops at Overlook?

I was told by a neighbor a drive-thru pharmacy and convenience store. She seems to find out all the good stuff. She also mentioned that HEB has purchased some land on Borgfield near Canyon Golf and they are to build and HEB Pantry. She called HEB but they would not confirm for her.
