I'm looking to buy a leather sofa. I recently have a pleather-like sofa that has been getting to me for some time now. It's time to go leather.

Anyone know of any good retailers in town that offer good, comfortable, and sound-priced leather sofas? There's so many, and I haven't shopped in a while.

My biggest complaint is that my fake-leather sofa sinks too much and is not sturdy/firm. Is this normal of other sofas, especially leather?

Any comments are welcomed! =)

I didn't buy mine locally so I am not sure (got 'em on ebay, freight shipped, $1250 for couch, loveseat and chair). Used, Craigslist always has items: classifieds - craigslist
Close friends got their leather furniture from Ashley's.

oh, and no that is not normal for real leather sofas... unless they're severely abused or over 10 years old maybe

This topic reminded me of a thread here from July that may be helpful.

I bought an entire bedroom set (queen bed, dresser, 2 night stands...plus a t.v. stand and a desk too) all from Overstock and they've been a great value, especially with the $2.98 shipping and no tax. My UPS guy, on the other hand, was not so pleased....

There is a small store on the square in San Marcos that sells leather furniture, and micro\leather of very good quality for about 2/3 the regular sale cost anywhere else. My wife and I bought a microsuede\leather sectional from them this past summer and we paid just under $1000 tax and delivery included. The cheapest anywhere else had the same model, or comparable it was a minimum of $1400 before delivery and tax. Im not sure what the name of the store is, but it's in the downtown square. I will take a look and see if I can find it. The store is smaller, but they have a large warehouse, and many many options....
