I hardly get over to that side of town and I'm not familiar with the Alamo Ranch Developement. Can someone tell me the general area and what builders are developing that area? What are the names of the subdivisions in that area and what is the price range for the different subdivisions? What high school serves this area?

I'm still lost on all the new construction in Stone Oak too. I lived near there when the first construction started there, but there are too many neighborhoods to even keep up with. It seems they all run together. Any comprehensive web sites on these areas of town? I'm completely lost on the subdivisions out there are well.

Thanks....!

It's right next to Sea World (151 and 1604). Homes start at $150k and up. DR Horton, Pulte and Meritage are the builders. The DR homes are the cheapest and it is their development. It will have 15,000 homes with it's own schools in the community.

My wife and I just moved here about 8 months ago form Los Angeles and we are closing on a DR Horton home in Alamo Ranch in about 20 days. Pulte, Dr Horton and Meritage were the first builder there when we signed our contract last year. Now there is: David weekly, Newmark, Arroyo Crossing(Toyota's Sub division) Kimball Hill, Medallion homes,Highland Homes,Ryland Homes, Standard Pacific, and Del Webb. They are part of the NISD. Pulte actually own all the land and sold it off to the other builders is what I understand. That's what we were told by DR Horton.

We are building in Alamo Ranch and searched San An over before making our decision to build there. We love that we will 'grow with the area'! The area is beautiful! Take a drive through there; it alraeady feels like home!

Where is Alamo Ranch exactly?

I'm very familiar with the Stone Oak area.....but I'm lost now on how far it speads. Is Stone Oak primarily on the West side of 281? (it used to be about 5 years ago!) What is the area called that is East of 281 and Evans?

Encino Park is over there...besides that there is no general name for that area..just different subdivisions. Although it may extend a little bit across the highway with the construction of those 3 shopping centers at 281/stone oak parkway

Alamo Ranch (houses and mixed use) has three entrances off Culebra (FM 471) and one entrance off Loop 1604West. The Del Webb Retirement area (built by Pulte Homes) is also in this area. The Alamo Ranch Marketplace is being built at the Southwest intersection of Loop 1604 and Culebra. Here is a map of the area:
