greetings! my family and i are potentially relocating to the san antonio area pending my employment with a very large employer on the northside of town (i'm sure you can guess who). we're interested in boerne and i'd like to learn more. can anyone tell me about the town, the commute, the neighborhoods, etc.? our budget is somewhere in the $165K to $200K range, hopefully we can afford it...

Moved from CA to Boerne in 87'. I've sinced moved to SA but ALL of my immediate family is still in Boerne.

Boerne is a great town thats growing fast. Real estate prices are skyrocketing and the city is seen by many as an "uppity" place to live. The commute to the northside of SA is about 30 minutes. While this is not too far to some, it's a little too far for my liking. Low crime and a generally nice area with lots of trees, rolling hills, a lake and the Cibolo creek running right through town. Downtown main street has a ton of shops and the weekend's bring people from all over to roam the streets.

Great place for kids and top notch schools.

Feel free to ask me any addition questions if you like.
