Any good ones? With spring around the corner I am thinking of fresh vegetables.

Olmos Basin is usually pretty good. Also the one at Milberger's is decent. You can also go to the Flea Market on Hwy 16, they have plenty of fresh, well-priced produce.

I've seen this website and list, but which one's are worth while? I don't want to go and see only one farmer there...i want a whole selection.

Well, the one at Olmos, near the Quarry, is great on Saturdays. They are closed for the season though.

When they are back up you can expect maybe 8 booths with fruits, veggies, sauces/jams and flowers.

The one that I go to now, on Wurzbach, usually has 1-3 booths, some of the same guys who are at Olmos during the proper seasons that one is open. It is not much for browsing, just picking up what is needed for the week.

I find the prices at each to be great, as is the produce. I have not been let down by anything I have purchased.

Last Friday I saw:

Apples
New Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Carrots
Cabbage
Lettuce
Squash
Zucchini
Onions
Spinach

It is so lovely and such a nice experience. To hand cash to the person who watered, harvested etc. that food. It is really neat

We drive to Austin for the Sunset Valley farmers market. It is FAR better than anything we have found here. 20+ vendors with meats, eggs, and organic produce galore. There is also live music and various food vendors. Well worth the drive. I have not been to the flea market one mentioned above.

Be warned the drought has seriously reduced current availability.

Funny that I've been planning for a week to make my 1st trip to go Austin since I moved to San Antonio a few months ago and I just found out about this farmer's market and I'm going this Saturday.

This will be the 2nd time I'm going to Austin,
the 1st time was 3 years ago when I first visited Texas and was trying to decide between Austin and San Antonio.
So, it'll be interesting to go back to the places I went to when I was dreaming of moving to Texas.
