I hate how the news over sensationalizes the story. Sad it is but a robbery? Seriously? Some lowlife walked up and snatched the money from whoever was holding it. It's called stealing from someone not robbing someone.

The reason its so sensational is that its so pathetic. What kind of moron decides that stealing from a group of kids could possibly pay off?

No, it's sensationalized because it's the news. I am not saying the act is pathetic, I am saying call it was it was, someone stealing not a robbery.

You wouldn't call a paper cut a wound would you?

I'm confused now. If someone did that at a bank, it would be called armed robbery. I beleive this is about the same technique. Maybe you're right, I dont understand what you're saying though.

I guess what you are trying to say is that its such a small thing, not like they stole $1000.00.
Yes it was small, but it was very dumb. Stuff like this is interesting because its something someone would not think another would do. If the guy had ran off, then it would make more sense, but there was a car involved and a second person, like it was a really big project. Thats why its so amazing.

How is the unlawful taking of someone else's property not a robbery?

Oh, I get it. Because it didn't happen to you.

according to dh if the money bag was pulled out of someone's hands...and the person holding the money put up resistence or was injured during the taking of the bag...then this is a Strong Armed Robbery...if no resistence was put up, then it is a Theft...the law is written in a stupd way...

if the money bag was taken from the box then it's a theft...

call it what you want this is still pathetic and a new low for someone to steal from 2 9yr olds girls that probably worked for hours to earn that money...
