yep, one of them comes home everyday (the del rio guy) but the other comes home for his two days off. While he's there he stays at a hotel, or sometimes he sleeps on the station.

Every day to Del Rio? Del Rio proper or the check point? Either way that's a bloody long drive. I have to do it far too often and am always spent at the end of the day (leaving at 5am...) I do know someone whose "home" is Del Rio but lives in SA during the week. That sounds bad enough for me. I can't imagine doing it daily.

There are a few BPA that live over on the NW side that commute down. It is a long drive but I used ti talk to one of the wives (kids went to school together) and it was safer than living there but the money was way to good for him to give up.

Well, I wouldnt say its the money thats so great, but maybe the benefits and security in these hard times. I am hoping to find some of those BPA's living in the SW, to maybe share the commute with!!!
