Yuck! Was anyone stuck in this? My parents were. Took them 6 hours to get home from Austin. They were not happy.

I saw this on the news. I am SO glad we went to Austin on Saturday, rather than Sunday!

Heh, yeah we were, but I think at the tail end of it. Luckily. Only took us maybe an extra 30-45 minutes I think...

Oh man! I'm glad this wasn't Saturday. We went to IKEA for a bed and the trip was relatively painless (so to speak).

Should be lucky you weren't stuck in July when temps are around 100+!

Yeah, my mom was stuck in it around at around 1:00pm coming from San Marcos. She called me and I sent her on some back roads to get around it, but it still took her almost 2 1/2 hours to make what is usually a 75 minute trip. Most of that was spent inching along to get to an exit off of I-35.

Sorry I'm late guys, I got into a fist fight with some people on the NYC forums. All I gotta say to this topic is, I am so glad I wasn't driving to or from Austin during this time frame or I would go crazy.
