Perhaps that is their valiant attempt at getting people to stop eating them.

So.....buy a whole box of them at HEB for much less, and grow some willpower! Single serving convenience items are always going to be a ripoff. And the biggest ripoff I've seen lately is the 100 calorie packs. You pay double at least for about a third of the product. Yet people continue to do it.

Probably fresher at a high volume seller like HEB as well....

of course I suppose since we are talking about Hostess products it probably really doesn't matter tho.

Better living thru chemistry, they are packaged with an expiration date about 42 years out.

This prevents them from raising gas prices! Just think last year we were almost paying $4 per gallon!! ONE measly little gallon.

(J/K about the cupcakes.. )

I dunno, Paka, have you seen some of the people at Valeros lately?!? Or anywhere else in this town?

I don't think Twinkies or cupcakes last too long anywhere around here! Rice cakes, on the other hand, are a different matter....

Cheers! M2

There was some sale for 69 cents if you buy a drink... that not still going on?

This gets my vote for most important thread of the day

Breaking news. I just left the AR Valero, and there was a mini-mountain of Hostess goodness, with 50% off stickers on them! They may be a little past their "time" but if you're OK with that, it brings the price to around 75 cents. Good luck!
