sounds like you dont do well when confronted with the truth. if they are "patrolling your roads" whether it is speeding tickets or patrolling neighborhoods, they are doing their job.

you should venture to the innercity where you sometimes find officers asleep on duty, having 2 hour lunch breaks, or in some cases sitting at the same corner for hours "seemingly" doing work.

you must not understand the game of odds when they ticket people on the road, i am not a cop, but some simple google searches will show you statistics which favor a safer environment by simply ticketing speeders. from DUI's, to drug busts, and more commonly no insurance, and warrants.

sounds like a great system to me and if you dont want "that" kind of presence in your area, let them leave for a few months and the real tragedy would be a drunk driver running over a kid in your neighborhood. then who would you complain to?

violating your civil rights? its not like the cop beat you in the middle of the street and then broke your camera. not to mention domestic issues are the worst situation for officers and their adrenaline and fear is at an all time high in those cases, but you did not take into consideration what that officer may be going through at the neighbors...did you?

if you have a valid complaint, i provided the emails...now contact them and instaead of being reactive, become proactive!

Let's be realistic, when they are out clocking people at 1100 am on a Sunday, and pull folks over for driving 75 when the speed limit just dropped from 70 to 65, they are not looking for DUIs, they are looking for cold hard cash. But that is all aside from the main issue here, I am only responding to your ridiculous insinuation.

if they had violated your civil rights, you would not have any photos to post up...

secondly, if they are ticketing speeders....speeding is a crime and drugs/warrants/no insurance are all offenses other than the DUI's you decided to single me out on. the other 3 offenses occur all day at all times. 11am is a perfect time considering many people are hungover and looking for munchies around that time on a Sunday. you must forget what its like to be young and dumb.

Maybe you missed the part about them threatening to arrest me for posting the pictures.

Also, you are assuming that the speed limits are imposed with the sole reason of promoting safety. Also, if the reason they pulled most people over was to check them for sobriety they would let most go without monetary loss. This is not the case.

The bottom line is the OP was well within his rights to flag the officer down for a very valid reason. If that was you or I barreling through his neighborhood, and a 'law enforcement officer' spotted us, we would have been well and truly served. Why should a cop be any different?

On top of that, they were rude, antagonistic, and unlawful. There is no justification for that.

Someone that is a good, honest, hard working citizen of this city shouldn't have to put up with that ****.

So I guess we reach a conclusion. **** cops, and **** those that think they are above the law.
