stop inside and spend about $4 and you'll never have to ask that question again

they're good and a great way to get fruit servings and dairy. They're far from a "health" thing, but there are much worse things to eat. Check out their website: Jamba Juice

just found out they're not officially open until June 4th, so they may or may not be open when you stop by.

Make no mistake, Jamba is NOT very healthy...

If you make the dreaded action of picking up their 'calorie' book (laying around somewhere in the store), it's a rude awakening as to how many calories those drinks really have.

My favorite, The Coldbuster, is a whopping 800 calories for the large drink. Eek.

Not that I'm against Jamba and the like, but always be aware that just because they're selling 'healthy and fresh' doesn't always mean it's just so. Sort of like Subway: We go to feel that we're eating healthy and then load up the sandwich with mayo and all sorts of crap. 1300 calories later, we're likely better off having gone to McDonald's instead...

I make my own smoothies with frozen bananas, frozen berries, nonfat plain yogurt, skim milk, and a little almond extract if you wish.

I don't think many people realize, but most fruit smoothies from Jamba Juice is the equivalent of eating a couple of candy bars. Not that it matters to anyone who's not watching what they eat, I just thought I would throw it out there.
