OMG! Kiddo and I were out to grab a bite and he decided on Sonic. I had TOTALLY forgotten about the root beer float giveaway until we were bumper to bumper in front of the HEB+ on Potranco. Thought maybe there was an accident, then saw the traffic jam at Sonic. That's when the light bulb came on!
It was a friggin' madhouse. Traffic was backed up all the way to Panda in one direction. I'm the one that did a U-ey and got the heck outta there before someone got hurt!
My son was like "all that for saving what...a buck?"

Anyone else tired of the doves yacking away all day? I'm sick of those birds. It's all white noise now...but when they are quiet, my ears ring...I forgot what silence is.

Sorry to hear about your Sonic troubles, djw. It's like the KFC fiasco...people thought they were getting free food with the free KFC grilled chicken coupon, but those bozos gave you rain checks instead and told you to come back another day. Well, all the people that traveled there for nothing....they ended up buying food since they were already there and hungry. I still haven't got my coupon in the mail.

I posted a thread below...but had to tell you bargain hunters to watch the KLRN auction for some great deals. I know...it's supposed to make money, but some of those items go really low. The auction itself will almost put you to sleep....but then it gets addicting when you spot something you want. They also have changed the format so they have quick sell bargains instead of waiting for those boards to close out. There's a little more instant gratification now.

Has anyone every purchased anything at the KLRN auction? We used to donate all the time. I think I purchased some alteration services a few years ago, but I don't remember using it! hmmm...wonder if it's still good??

"Kung Fu" David Carradine found dead in his Bangkok hotel room. He hung himself. Sad.

I hope I never understand how sad a person has to be to take their own life.
