Oh math is where I suck. The other day there was a math question on WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE and I couldn't figure it out. It was a $100 question

this ability to check grades in real-time is brilliant. I would've definitely been screwed, though.. my forgery skillz wouldn't have been as good either

This reminds me of that movie "War Games" with Mathew Broderick. Gosh...that was back in the 80's and the computers were still in DOS mode. I remember him being a computer whiz and getting in trouble on purpose so he would be sent to the principal. While he was waiting he would sneak a peek at the pass code for the day and go in and change his grade on the computer. What a great movie.....really dated now, but still a classic.

Some kid will do it soon enough, if it hasn't already been done. Gosh...wasn't it about 8 or 10 years ago when someone hacked into the UT at Austin database and compromised hundreds of thousands of SSN's?

that is true. Present a challenge and it will be taken out. Those people end up getting really good paying jobs too...
anyone that wants an easy 6 figures with no degree or certification requirements, brush up on your hacking skills. It would also help to lead a clean life so you can get a security clearance. Or at least take care of your records so it looks like you lead a clean life..

one point away..

Except for honors math...he has a B.....but we spent a bunch of time on his math tonight and I think the light bulb came on for him.
Awesome kid . Kids are a reflection of their parents .
Those honors classes are tough. My youngest is having a hard time in AP Algebra. She has an A in there but she is working hard for it. I knew she was going to miss her tutor (older sister) this year. She tried to get me to help her last night but I just don't get that stuff.
It was my favorite subject but that was a looooong time ago. I read her book and it was kinda coming back to me, maybe a refresher course is in my future.
That's pretty bad when a parent has to take a refresher course to help their 8th grader do Algebra .

I love math. One answer to rule them all.

Try algebra.com.....I had to do a little surfing last night to come up with a rule I needed to explain to him, but once I read it, it came right back!

(**EVIL LAUGH**) HA!HA!HA!--- I set up my parent triggers for all three kids for grades and attendence---They dont stand a chance!!! And I have landed a job at the little ones school (elem)....seriously though- with parents like us-who were awful kids- I need to cover all of my bases. Somehow we have managed to have very intellegent kids :0 -I just need to keep on top of it and reward it. I dont know how you do it Sapphire--its hard to keep up with 3 kids daily school work, their homework, and their behavior. And my oldest has ADHD- so he needs lots of help with his organization skills (or lack of!) But it is all worth it...........right??
