I have an Acer Netbook too - but .... I dont like it. I originally bought it to replace my Dell. I dont know why I dont like it. Maybe my fingers are too fat for the keys???

Have you enlarged the font? I had to do that the first night I brought it home, and admit to meself I may be gettin' a bit old.

The fat finger thing.....I've just gotten used to typing on the smaller keyboard. It's one of my few skillz.

Best Buy had a laptop for $429 yesterday. Can't remember the brand name. But they are getting cheaper all the time. I do use a laptop, too, but I've had to get used to the netbook because my laptop is clinging to life. My screen has 2 big black lines on either side and I've just gotten used to maneuvering the text around so I can read it.

Netbooks are way underpowered and that's what makes them annoying. I love the small size of my HP Mini, but its performance makes me want to turn it into a frisbee..

Mine is fine for what I use it for. Surfing the web and being a general nuisance on here. Sounds like it's the same for perticusrex, only she's "snarky".

Got a 2009 Dell Inspirion 1525 I'll let you have for cheap!!! You have to use a USB or wirless mouse, though. Just got it 12 months and 2 weeks ago, I loved it..............until the mouse quit working!!!

replacing laptops because of a battery or a mouse? seriously? you know you can buy a new battery or mouse for quite a bit less than a new laptop, right? The laptop I use all the time (Inspiron E1705) is from 2006 and it is still perfectly fine. I rarely use the battery, though, and I have a sweet a$$ed Logitech mouse.
If you insist on getting a new one, shop the Dell Outlet. You can get brand new stuff for at least $100 cheaper and about 95% of it are returns or cancelled orders. I own three (including this laptop) and they are flawless and were in brand new condition.

and on a lighter note..
