Welcome to the neighborhood - We also live in Amhurst, I do agree we need a bigger pool-or maybe just another pool

If you have not decided yet, I agree with the OP who advised doing a "test" run of the morning commute.

Based on your work locations, I think buying in AR would be a little more equal for you both in terms of commute times if you both work standard work hours.

With all the appeal of Alamo Ranch and the nearby shops Amhusrt is a better choice. It's too bad that Potranco has not been widened for a turn lane or a light.
Did you know, and this is a fact that State Hwy 151 will eventually run through Alamo Ranch?
If you think we have heard enough from those that live in the KB Sub. on Potraco just wait for 151.

I wouldn't exactly say that 151 is going to "run through" AR, as far as I understand it they will simply be connecting Alamo Ranch Parkway with 151 more directly.

Although my information was from TXDOT things are always changing with them. Nevertheless the traffic will increase as you have never seen it. The plan for 151 isto eventually run it to Talley and then onto State Hwy 211. I know the economy will have alot to do with this.

We are set to close on a house in alamo ranch next week in the DR Horton area. We decided to go with it because though there were nice homes in Amhurst, just the overall feeling wasnt the same as what we get in alamo ranch, the commute will suck, but it will be wonderful coming home to that house everyday!!!

Good Choice... We bought in Amhurst and wish we could go back and choose AR. That area is way nicer than Potranco is ever going to be... hindsite is 20/20.
