I had one of them in my pantry closet about 3 years ago. They like to hide in charcoal bags. I had gotten up around 2 a.m. to go and get water in the kitchen, and I saw this thing poke its head under the pantry door and crawl out into the kitchen. It did a loop, and then went back under the door. I thought I was dreaming! I finally threw a heavy pot on it when it came out again, and then had to clean up the whole mess the next morning.

Yep, they had this evil looking sucker on display at the S.A. Zoo on Good Friday!! Zoo employees and/or volunteers were out in the crowds showing off critters!! The centipede and a Tarantula!! If you've ever had a tarantula cross the road in front of you....you know to give it a wide berth. Kidding!! I've never seen one of these centipedes in the wild. If I had I wouldn't sleep as well at night!! Seriously!! Don't like scorpions either!!

I have had a few of those out here in Bulverde, the salad tongs and bleach are what we use to kill them, not fun at all.
