Yeah i talked to them a while back about it and they said it would definitely be better to get the knee back to normal beforehand. As far as the p90x, i started on the "lean" version and so far havent encountered too much that stresses the knee..the leg stuff is decent, I just wear a knee brace and anything I dont feel comfortable with ill either skip or modify. its intense though! That ab routine is tough.not able to make it all the way through it yet lol

If you are interested in traditional chinese martial arts (kung fu), I have just started hosting my old teacher from South Austin at my home in Stone Oak. He teaches the internal martial arts: Baguazhang and Xingyiquan (and also Taijiquan but he's focusing on the Bagua and Xingyi since there are already Taiji teachers here). If you're interested, you can contact my teacher at: hillcountryhealer at hotmail dot com. Or send me a PM.

There is a Wing Tsun school in San Antonio. The guy is extremely good. I've attended several of his seminars when he's travelled to Chicago. There is a video on his website. I realise this thread is rather old, regardless...

I've also heard good things about Sifu Parker.

I trained for a few years at a different Wing Chun school, with Sifu Gilbert Leal. Both Sifus Parker and Leal trained under Leung Ting who trained under the legendary Yip Man. I loved Sifu Leal's instruction as he was very patient and knowledgeble. He also taught [on different days] Muay Thai and Escrima/Kali.
