Miltary Medals and Displays at
5121 Crestway Dr
San Antonio, TX 78239
(210) 507-4061

It's on the NE side of town halfway between Randolph and Ft Sam. Not really convenient to you...but he'll have what you need. The owner does fabulous custom work for awards, decorations and medals, you name it...he will do it. His website is a bit lacking but it's worth a trip over to visit him. SUPER nice gentleman!

We purchased my dad's flag case there. He can order whatever size you need...choice of wood color, beveled glass or plain....etched or engraved.
The price varied depending on what you select.

Here's some info on the cases -----> FlagDisplayCases (http://www.veteransmedals.com/Flag%20Display%20Cases.htm - broken link)

Thanks to all of you. Today my wife and I visited my Mom and Stepdad who is Retired US Air Force. In passing the Flag Case came up and before I knew it we were at Fort Sam where we found an extremely nice case. Even nicer than the ones I've been eyeing on the internet. As you know I had to have them pay for it . I didn't realize I could be a guest on a Military Base. Thanks to All of You.

Did you find it at the BX or hobby shop or somewhere else? I'm in the market for an internment flag and service medal display and haven't been too impressed with what I'm seeing online. Tks!

djw, if you need help, I'm willing to lend a hand if you need it...but it would be easier for me to check out Lackland, since that is where I work. I can help at Ft Sam as well, but we'll have to coordinate a little...

Cheers! M2

djw - The Flag Case was found at the Fort Sam PX. I looked and looked on-line as I'm sure you have. I found prices from $19.00 to several hundred. I know that price should not pay a factor at a time like this but its the Flag and the person to whom it was for that is the most important. You will find beauitiful ones on line and more than likely here in town. The cost for the one we bought was $65.00 . This one is different than the ones I have been looking at. After putting the Flag inside the glass slides up into the case. I am considering replacing the glass with the type that keeps light from affecting (fading) the material. This can be purchased at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.
The Flag that I have was my Father's. My Step Mother has had it since December of 2007. The fold is not as snug / tight as it was. I was debating about having it refolded. I have talked to several people and they have told me that having refolded would be better and in now way would it disrespect the Honor of the *** or my Father.
