RE: electricians and plumbers.....ask to see their license! A lot of handy people can do a lot of "odd" jobs. Electrical and plumbing mistakes can be costly and dangerous.
Ask if they take credit cards or checks! If they work for cash only, you may never see the job get finished.

Just to clarify, my "cheap" comment was mainly regarding the doorway thing.
I could do the door myself with a lot of instructions and time. LOL. It isn't *hard* but will be much faster and easier for someone who does that sort of thing all the time.
The electrical, plumbing, yeah, I know. I wasn't trying to skimp there, but I have gotten some quotes on the door that are just
and I know what is involved and know how much it *should* cost so that's what's steering me towards someone who is a bit hungry for work rather than all booked up and charging accordingly.
