I was just browsing around Craigslist and saw this listing Italian Restaurant For Sale (http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/bfs/1138024116.html - broken link) They listed the address so I googled it and found out it was Capparelli's.

I'm still partial to the one on Evers (where most of the posters on C-D would NEVER dream of eating ).....followed by Babcock/Huebner. I hope they find a buyer, though.

I'll buy their fish tank.

Am I reading their asking price wrong? The asking price is the same as the cash flow, but there are also separate furniture/fixtures/equipment and inventory prices, and next to inventory it says "included in price." If the asking price is really the same as the one-year net cash flow, that'd be a pretty amazing deal if everything looked good after all the due diligence and whatnot. I assume they'd want the cost of the FFE in addition to the asking price?

As you can probably tell, I have no restaurant or entrepreneurial experience.

My mother was good friend's with the owner Frank (I believe his name is), on Evers. He used to sing Italian songs and play his accordion for her. She in return would always bring him one of her home made Italian dishes. He came out and played for my Father's 70th birthday party, a while back.

It was my understanding that the original Mrs. Caparelli let each of her children start their own restaurant in different areas of SA and shared her recipes and menu with each of them. Guess the Grand/Great Grand kid(s), don't want to maintain the family tradition. Sad.
