Dang! I forgot to post here that GreenCamp was happening this weekend. There was really good turnout for a Camp event. The very first GreenCamp in the country was in Houston last December and they had about 35-40 ppl... we had just over 100 over the course of the day! It was a little different from most Camps because the topic ("Green") drew in a whole new crowd looking for information (not just tech community folks). 90% of the participants had never been to a Camp before and needed a lot of explanation about the format, etc.

Still, there was a lot of great discussion and many connections made between people who intend to take their knowledge forward and take some action in their sphere of influence - schools, neighborhood, business, church, etc. If you're interested in staying informed, we will be sending a brief recap out to everyone signed up on the GreenCamp site (GreenCamp San Antonio) and allow people to share their contact info to keep momentum going. It was really inspiring to see so many people sharing problems, knowledge and ideas, having real discussions about how to live more consciously and sustainably. There may be a second GreenCamp this fall, or possibly next Spring so sign up on the site to get updates.

My husband went to Greencamp this weekend and said it was a very worthwhile event. I'm sure he'll be attending the next one!
