Survived it all.

haha sounds like me, and I think the paint on my crib had lead in it too.

Shh! Don't tell people that! They'll say things like, "THAT explains a lot!"

I grew up in a house built in 1904. My dad, God love him, was neither a plumber nor a electrician, yet he put in a bathroom and electricity himself. I guess he figured the risk of electrocuting himself was worth it to have indoor plumbing in the dead of winter in Illinois.

God knows what was in that well water, anyway.

My grandfather was an elevator repairman and tested to see if a wire was hot by touching it. Not little 120v ones either.

It was a different time.

Thanks for everyone's replys....I am glad to find out its not just me. The water here does taste better than where I moved from. There I only drank it from a facet type filter. I just can't seem to drink the tea that I make here. It looks like it has sat in the frig. for weeks. It is so cloudy!.....I didn't mention it before but my yorkie will not drink the water here, she only likes filtered water.....Spoiled Dog!!

Add some lemon juice to your tea, that seems to help with the taste and the appearance.
I buy the Realemon (sp?) juice in the bottle. Only a splash, a little goes a VERY long ways.

That only helps if you like lemon in your tea.

Y'know what... is the place you're living in, has it been lived in for a few months? When we moved into our home, the fridge & the water line that I would use from the fridge hadn't been used in MONTHS, and it took a long time for the cloudiness to go away. I think it just had to run through the line for awhile, etc.
