I own a Mazda MPV van 2003 and its experiencing what they call "shift shock",and the O/D Light is flashing. It drives fine except when it shift from 1st to 2nd and only after driving it a few minutes. Its fine when its first starts up. Mazda wants to install a new transmission (of course) but Ive been reading about a bulletin that states"TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) software calibration. A new software calibration is available on ESI to correct the shifting concerns". Any other Mazda owners had the same issue and what did you do to fix it. THanks !!!!

Tell me about it. Our 2002 Mazda MPV I want to blow up.We just paid Aamco 2800.00 and they put in a rebuild transmission and I have even worse problems with the tranny now. We took it to aamco so many times when it was under the warranty, and they could not fix it. Now it is out of warranty and wetook it to another transmission place and they tell me I need a transmission and a TCM. Looking at buying a new van...ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?
