Oddly enough, I didn't do that on purpose! Freud would've loved explaining that one!

I did get two gigs as an Independent Adjuster, but it isn't enough to pay all my bills and I've continued to dig into "Mom's Money" ('inheritance'), AND even the Indpendent Adjusting Firms are tightening THEIR belts because the Commercial Carriers they get contracts with are tightening THEIR belts and keeping most work inside.
Soooooo.... I sent about three resumes yesterday to Dallas carriers/TPAs/AdjusterPlacememtFirms, and as of today, I already have an interview scheduled, and an application has been e-mailed to me...
so,,, I kinda think my decision is the right one.....

sad, is the only word I can think of except for, 'thank God' I may finally have a steady income again for the first time in a lonnnnng time...

I will miss you all ......
I feel your pain, my gf has been looking for work for 9 months. Recruiters are worthless, they collect your resume to fill a quota, they also use it for leads. They purposely say they have jobs to get applicants in only to tell you the job has been filled. They try to push you into lower paying jobs hoping you will cave.

Good luck!

Best of luck in your new surroundings. I'll miss the banter and informative posts. Dallas has a gain, we have a loss.

It's just not fair when the ones that like it here have to leave but the ones who hate it seem to stay forever. Best wishes to you and come back anytime!!

Is Dallas a better market for insurance adjusters?

Overall our job market down here is stronger right now but I know the job field is a major factor.

Pops like everyone else uor city is losing a great person!
