Had AUGIES the other day too, they seem to be slipping. Brisket was stringy the last couple visits. Chicken thighs were a bargin at 1.99, but short on flavor. BBQ sauce and mac n cheese still good though. Someone needs to crack the whip on the crew, the place used to be great. Hopefully they will get it together soon.

Fralos take and bake. I like it b/c they don't overload it with sauce and it isn't dripping with grease. I would never go there right now b/c there is not an A/C. Only go there in the winter and sit under the tents.

Had dinner at Rudy's (151 location) yesterday and I'm wondering if they're about to go out of business. I've been there before in the summer and the wait time was LONG. Got there at around 5 PM and there were more employees than customers and it didn't get any better the entire time we were there. They also really didn't want to give me to-go containers. I tried to get them as we were ordering, but the guy didn't want to since it was for there. I told him I know I'm not going to be able to eat everything, but he insisted I wait until I'm done and then come back. Seemed like they were really trying to cut those costs.. although the prices are still insanely high. Almost $35 for three people barely eating anything..

Blake's Cafe at McQueeney yesterday for lunch. Sirloin beef tips with gravy, bell pepper onions over rice, salad, and fresh loaf bread. $6.99. Really good food and excellent service. Haven't had this plate taste so good since Karla's German restaurant off of Rittiman Rd(which unfortunately closed years ago).

Well, if Rudy's does go out of business at least you still got Bill Miller's across the street. However, if Rudy's goes then there will be two buildings just sitting there vacant looking trashy. I guess Chunky's is over there but I never see anyone there???? I'm going to Stonewerks at The Rim tonight. Good nachos and beers.

I'll leave the BM debate for that other thread.. I don't see it as competition, though. Isn't Chunky's still open? I used to love that place back when I could eat a nice big greasy burger. Those days are gone, though. The parking lot on that side was pretty full, though, so someone was over there doing something.
So what is that Stonewerks place, anyhow? I've seen it and it's always busy, so I figured whatever it was is popular. I thought it was a store, though.

I don't know about Chunky's??? Everytime I am over there I don't see any cars. And it is always midday so no telling. Yeah Stonewerks is okay depending on the one you go to. The Rim location tends to have more of a younger crowd due to being close to UTSA. Which can be a little much after 10 pm or so. The Quarry one is more of an older crowd and so is the Blanco one I have noticed. I do know they have Lone Star Light in a can which is okay by me. I always get the nachos there, but my friends always get burgers and such. Never hear any complaints so guess they like em. Check it out sometime. And no store, just food and beer/wine
