Wasabi for lunch with my brother, SIL, and 4 yr old ankle biter. I normally like to sit at the bar and speak with the chefs and have them create me something or the "whatever roll" but since we had the kiddo and her attention span is much like mine...non exsistant, we settled for a booth. Waiter was very nice and attentive. We got a huge mix of sushi from cucumber rolls to a Spicy Rainbow. Kiddo got her chicken teriyaki, which was very good. Although she's starting to like fish and finished off a piece or 2 of a spicy salmon roll. Had my Saporro Light and it was good. Prices tend to be a little high compared to Sushi Zushi or a Thai Lao but they have a roll I like so I continue to go.

All in all. Not a bad lunch time meeting.

What do they have on the menu besides pork chops? Al pastor? Carnitas? All sorts of meats/options/stuff?

They have lots of taco choices, their carne guisada is good also. The crispy tacos looked good also.

I shall definitely have to check it out, then. It's a ridiculously long drive for tacos for me, but it looks like a hole in the wall & I always love those places.

Do they take credit/debit cards or cash? I'd hate to drive all the way out there with no cash just to find out they don't take cards.

Unpretentious? They're chain eateries on a middle-man level. If this were Mark Bohanan's place, I might understand someone throwing around that word, but for a mass-market eatery, I don't quite get the statement.

Cheaper and easier to get in and out of, well that I understand.

I forgot to mention they only take cash, luckily when i went had some cash. I live at Blanco-Bitters and the long drive was worth it.

Food Trucks, Food Trailers, Gourmet Food - Boardwalk on Bulverde

I ate at the Pakistani cart, my wife ate at one of the comfort food carts. Can't believe I just now found out about this place. Highly recommended!
