Do they have a full bar now? Last time I went it was beer/wine IIRC. Heard that the place had changed hands recently, did menu change also?

Tost does have a full bar and has a great happy hour. ($15.00 for bottomless well drinks, beer, or wine)

BurgerFi - has a chili dog and Fries plus a drink. They were tasty for what you get but expensive for just those two. You can get a more substantial and equally tasty lunch at a local Chinese restaurant for the same price.

Loud music - must be part of the atmosphere and it was annoying. I would be worried if I worked there that I would get accumulated hearing damage. I might be an old guy but it's stupid. Who needs loud canned muzak.

Well, I attempted to go to El Ceviche del Waldito on Evers. This is at least my 4th try where it's been randomly closed when I've shown up in person. I officially give up on this restaurant.

Ate at the thai place next door. Good stuff.

Picante Grill - lunch special of Chicken Enchiladas with mole. Pretty good and not expensive.

The newest Chuy's location on I-10 just inside 1604 on the Northwest side did quite well during a recent visit. Staff was attentive, food was good, and was as good as you would expect from an established Chuy's. My favorite is still the original on Barton Springs Parkway in Austin, but it is nice having one close. Saves having to drive to the dreaded 281 corridor to score some creamy jalapeno dip.

Pesca's on Huebner near Bandera Rd. I had the basic seafood platter and my buddy went with the Catfish dinner. Good stuff and reasonable too. The owners are friendly and really concerned about your opininon of their restaurant. Worth a visit....

Sounds like El Tropiko on Guildbeau. I swear I've never seen the place open in over ten years of living in the area...

They're only open for breakfast....possibly lunch but their tacos are good from what I can recall. Just don't order the tea unless you want to get a cavity going right there at the table....they have sweet tea only and it's extra sweet. Too bad they didn't tell us it was sweet before we plunked the sweet n low in.

Do you mean Pesca's on Eckert road? 7500 Eckert to be exact. About a block before you hit Bandera road. Good stuff, huh? Went there last weekend with my son and it was great! Nice to have a decent seafood place close to the casa.
