Glad you enjoyed it.

Best of luck, that's when the hell really started in our household. You'll soon realize why 40% of PhD students end up finishing at another university.

Finally tried French Sandwiches. Service seemed very indifferent to put it politely and it was a little expensive. $12 for tea, tip, cup of soup, and 1 banh mi sandwich? Probably double what that would cost in Houston. Did not care for the included pastry at all, but the rest of it was good.

Elizabeth St in Austin yesterday. Best Pho I've ever had. Pork belly steamed buns were good too. Not too pricey but they were packed!

Been there. Their banh mi was really good, just not enough pork.

SoneWorks Lincoln Heights...

Food was great.

Service sucked but it's always hit of miss with the service.

Congrats for sure! As one that has suffered thru that, certainly understand the need to "celebrate"!

Bangkok Cuisine on Pat Booker Rd. in Live Oak. The service was indifferent and the Thai Noodle Soup was a bit bland. I looked at all the awards decorating the interior walls and took them with a grain of salt.

Thanks, getgoing, Juan, and Paka! It's been a trip, for sure. Four years of coursework done and chapters one through three of my dissertation almost done! I plan on defending in August at which time even my mother will call me Dr. Linda (for a day, anyway!).

Thanks for the good thoughts- very much appreciated!

El Bucanero. I never, ever, ever thought I'd see something like "estos si son mariscos, no chingaderas" painted on the wall in a polite restaurant but here we are. Food and margaritas were excellent. Hands down some of the best I've had in this city.
