I went once (won't go back) when they were not busy and wasn't impressed with the hockey puck meat patty...I'll stick with Burger Boy.

Of

I like to flatten my burger when I eat it so it was up to par. I haven't ever been to Burger Boy, but I run past it regularly (and at times when they are open...) so maybe we should try that next time we want a Burger!

On another note I also was craving ice cream today at like 3 so I went to the Sonic on San Pedro near SAC. OF the three times i have been there, all three times have been slower than Whataburger (and they have always been slow to me).

Acenar

Okay food with GREAT drinks.

To charge that much for tex-mex that is not even on par is insane.

Had a fantastic breakfast there this past Wednesday. Arrived at 7:30am and was the first person to sit outside on the patio, guess it was still too chilly outside for other patrons. The blankets outside on every chair, hot cups of coffee, space heaters, and hot stack of pecan pancakes kept me warm and cozy.

Acenar is really just Rosario's, but on the Riverwalk. You actually pay less and can get the same menu if you go to Lisa's place in Southtown. The kitchens at both places are equipped to do both menus, all the time.

I too think it's criminal to charge nearly $20 for enchiladas. Riverwalk prices are a bit wacky.

I agree that sonic has to be the slowest in SA, I went there on Tuesday and took more than 5 mins to get a couple of drinks.

Lupe's Tortillas on 281 with a group from work.

Nice weather meant we were on the patio, stayed long enough that they lit the heaters and the fire pit. Shared the usual Tex Mex apps, enjoyed the happy hour prices (we're teachers, and the once or twice per year that we do this it's nice to find a HH that begins at 3 ). A great time was had by all, wonderful server, good food, reasonable prices.
