I think you are mistaking "sold tickets" with "bodies in the seats". According to ESPN the Spurs are currently at 99.3% capacity and averaging 18,442 per game.

New Orleans can support an NFL team and you think SA can't? Wow.

Didn't San Antonio average about 65000 in attendance when the New Orleans Saints had to play at the Alamodome?

I don't bother to even consider a Spurs game at any price including free. At 6'4" and about 270lbs of bouncing baby boy, I don't fit in their Japanese seats. The last time I went, I had a guy sitting next to me that made me look like a shrimp. WE laughed about it but but somebody got to sit forward while the other guy got to sit back and then we'd change. His wife was even bigger than me and she had to play games with the guy sitting next to her. No thanks. When they make a seating arrangement so uncomfortable that you can't enjoy the game- I'm out. The Alamodome is better but not by a lot. But I think yer wrong about an NFL team. Detroit certainly doesn't have issues filling the stadium but then we'd have to build another stadium just for the football team and then they'd want to get the saturation level way up there on the seating which means you're likely to be sitting in yer neighbors lap like the AT&T Center- no thanks. I don't need to spend more money on taxes for a stadium that I can't sit in. If they remodeled Alamo Stadium so it's outside with bleachers like when we had the Gunslingers, I'd be game for that.

I sit in the lower levels and am about your size. I have zero problems.

I used to purchase tickets through the exchange less than 5 years ago at below face value. Not the case anymore.

The AT&T Center is ranked one of the best NBA stadiums out there.
This is SA, one of the fattest cities, and plenty of people fit in those seats that weigh more than you.

Hey Major.... A few more discussions I suspect!

Actually, I wouldn't go to any game even if the seats were sofa-size and free. Been there, done that. But that's just my 1/2 cent.
