Can you be more specific? What I know is that Jerry Jones has gone out of his way over the years to block the move of any other NFL team to San Antonio. Jones is a pig and I despise his cowpigs along with him. Having said that there are ways for SA to grab the Raiders even at this late date.

With the news that Sheldon Adelson may withdraw his financial support from the Las Vegas stadium plan the chances of an NFL stadium being built there seem more remote. I also believe that the owners ultimately would vote against the move of the Raiders to LV due to the mob, gambling, prostitution and everything else that makes LV such a wholesome place to see an NFL game.

And with Mark Davis staring another lease in the face at that O.co dump the Alamodome will seem more amenable than ever for the purposes of housing the Raiders.

Jacksonville was smaller (by every measure) & less wealthy than San Antonio when it was awarded an expansion team. Today, it's the same story.

Also, the city now has a larger TV market than Kansas City, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Buffalo, all of which have two big four sports teams.

The main problem is building a new stadium, which the owner would almost be guaranteed to demand.

Build it, and they will come.

Oh wait...didn't we hear that back in the late 80's?

IIRC, the expansion team that was awarded to Jacksonville was the one San Antonio thought they had the upper hand at snagging.

San Antonio also had the brand-new Alamodome ready to go at that time, paid for with public funding, and built with the primary intent of attracting one of the NFL expansion franchises that were going to be awarded at that time.

The NFL is now looking into going globally. Davis do not want to leave California, he will get his stadium. He is using Las Vegas just like other franchises have used San Antonio, as a bargaining chip. Davis along with other probably already have enough money to build a new stadium is Oakland, but are trying to get as much public funding as necessary. San Antonio will not have an NFL team because Jones and McNair will not allow it, I know if I've own either the Texans or the Cowboys, I would not want another Texas team. If there is ever an expansion, teams are going to be for Mexico, Germany, England or any other countries with large cities. About relocation, San Antonio is like that pretty daughter of your best friend, you just can't touch her. Same for NFL owners, they do not want to touch Jones or McNair's pretty daughter. How ever they will continue to use San Antonio as a bargaining chip over and over.

I am so sick and tired of reading the same old lame, tired reasons why SA will never get an NFL team. The most annoying for me is the belief that McNair and Jones are against having an NFL team here. Let's say that they are. The fact is that these two owners are just that, two owners. It takes 26 of the 32 owners to approve a franchise relocation. Jones and McNair could not block a move of the Raiders or Chargers to San Antonio if the rest of the owners wish it to be even if they wanted to.
