I NEED your help! I'll be in SA within 4 mths to buy land & build a home in Stone Oaks Area unless something changes. I've been there before but was visiting each time with no intention of moving. Plans changed & we'll be coming and need your take on where I should: build, send kids to school (elementary and possible daycare), church, favorite restaurant(s) (all types), bakery, grocery store, shopping center, general mechanic, tailor, pediatrician, general doctor, gynecologist, dentist, electric provider, home builder, weekend activity or whatever YOU especially like in SA. All replies will help and please add to anything you can think of. NAMES will suffice; I'll look it up your input but if you have an address, website or phone # handy please post it. Thank you so much in advance for your time and your input. Richard

Wayyy too many questions..take a look here, narrow it down to a few...then come back and ask specifics. Most of your questions will be answered here.

I've read that post and others but the information is all over the place. Besides, I'm lazy. I don't expect a reply to each but I'd like something similar to "Dude, you need to go to "The Cove" and have a lamb burger!" I saw that on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, great show, looked like great food.

There really is no one good answer to your many questions. I think that's what the general comments are trying to get across.

If I were moving, I'd start with location in regards to my place of employment.
What part of town will you be working in and what kind of commute are you willing to tolerate. From there you might need to give an idea of price range for your home. That will at least be a start.

From there schools will follow.....the rest is sort of secondary to the major stuff.
Drs and Tacos are all over town.

Thanks; forgive the way too open ended post; I'll do some more research and be specific on what I'm looking for in the future.
