I don't know about the deer, or shooting the bird but, our drivers sure do love to "flip" the bird!!!!

Texas doesn't have much public land, so finding a good hunting spot can be difficult. Hunting leases or making friends with a rancher seem to be the way to go.

Here's a Texas Gun forum that might be better help:
Hunting, Fishing, and Survival - Texas Gun Talk (http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/hunting-fishing-survival/ - broken link)

Edit: Here's a page off the Texas Parks and Wildlife that has a list of private leases and other hunting locations.

There is a lot of hunting opportunities around here. Look around and do your homework though as there are some ranches that can be very expensive. Do you have a DoD ID card?

Why would a DoD ID card influence hunting in the area?
