Can someone familiar with the park and it's policies answer a question for me?

My mother {62} and I {25} are both disabled and in wheelchairs. My daughter {3} is NOT.

Will we end up having to pay admission for all three of us or just my daughter?

I know it's not the normal family unit where parents are able-bodied and children are disabled.

According to the web site:

2010 Admission Prices

Individual(s) with special needs - Free
Person(s) accompanying special needs individual - $5
General Admission (0-3 Years are Free) - $15

Looks like everyone in your group gets in free. Don't forget that reservations are required.

Took students today to Morgan's Wonderland. This place is even more amazing than anything you can imagine. The amount of thought and detail that went into this. Kudos to Hartman and those involved. To think I get paid for taking kids here......love my job.

If you have a chance to go you should. If not, find a reason to go.

It is a wonderful place intended for everyone, disabled or able bodied. I mean, $15.00 admission for the general public? That's pretty inexpensive. Of course, you do have to make reservations, but this is so that our sensory challenged children and adults will not be overwhelmed. What a wonderful place and a wonderful man. I wish that there could be more parks like this all over the country.

Please support it through donations and volunteering. When I was there, the fact that parents or grandparents in wheel chairs could play with their children and grandchildren struck me as well as the facilities for the visually impaired. Every single sign has braille. Those who have *runners* will be grateful for the gps bracelets too. I wanted to post about this in the Houston Forum too though. We visit San Antonio too.

Dorothy

I have a good friend who is volunteering some hours to the train ride at the park. He usually does a 9-10 ish to 2 pm shift and enjoys it immensely!

On another note, I have phoned for over three weeks. At least 5 calls, 5 messages, no return calls. I would like to volunteer but this has really left me feeling bad that they will not return my call. One time I phoned the receptionist answered the phone and said "the person you need to speak to is right here, just a moment" She came back to the phone and said Oh no you have to leave a message and put me through to the voice mail yet again.
Their web site mentions the need for volunteers, yet they do not return phone calls.
