I went to a company picnic out there once. Great food and a great time. I hope his family will keep the business going.

Another San Antonio icon lost. How very sad to hear this news. Some people are simply amazing without really trying. He was one of those people just doing what he loved. He will definitely be missed!

RIP Don.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I had my first "grilled white wings" at the ranch. To this day they are a staple at our bbq's.

Default Don Strange passed away.

Hello,

Sad news for San Antonio:

Famed Texas caterer Don Strange passes away - San Antonio Business Journal:

I went to Clark with all three of his sons and live right down the road from his catering ranch off of IH-10. Been to many of his catered parties over the years and was always delighted by the quality of his presentation. The memorial will be Sunday at 2 at the Don Strange Ranch.

I am new to SA and had not heard of him, however with the amount of people that have shared their condolences he must have been a great man and I am sure that he will be remembered and missed.

I realize he had a heart attack but my mom told me that he was also battling cancer. Is that true?

He will surely be missed.
