I pass the food stamp office on my way to work everyday about 655 am every morning. For a long time ive been noticing people out there at this time getting in line in front of the doors. On days where i am off and i would pass thru there about 745am to drop my kids off at school, there would be a line all around the parking lot. i was just wondering was this only happening at this food stamp office or has anyone else noticed any of the other offices getting lines before they open. i get out of work and pass thru there and there are people outside sitting down in this heat, and i just feel bad, not sure if their out there cause there is no room in the seating area or what..

It just worries me, my dept at my work might be closing down at the end of the year, and Im thinking oh my goodness if i cant a find a job in time, am i gonna have to get there at 655 am...? pretty scary thought.

audreycpsa -Yes it is sad to see those lines. Our economic stituation is not getting better.

I hate to hear that your Department at work might be closing down by years end. As you know the end of the year is quickly approaching. This is when you need to start looking, as you know hiring processes take several weeks or longer.
I know you're an adult but please don't look only at the pay but the benefits that are offered. If you take a good look at benefits they can add $10,000 plus to one's yearly income.

I wish you the best.
