The big Med Center hangouts where people I know go are Oak Hills Tavern and Highlander, which are like two blocks apart on Fredericksburg.

oak hills tavern is a great spot over there - also enjoyed Lindy's when I was in the area.

for good margaritas where you can dress down and have some pretty good mexican food - try cha-chos

Flying saucer isn't a dive, but a good place to catch drinks and have something nice to look at.

Geez, I miss Lindy's. I loved Lindy's. I haven't darkened the door of the Highlander. I'm afraid it's morphed into a pickup bar.

And how is it for lunch? Lindy's had GOOD burgers.
