Anyone have recommendations for the best shops for kolaches in San Antonio or the surrounding area?

From what a friend told me (so this is secondhand info), the Valero at 1560 and 471 supposedly has some decent kolaches.

Funny thing is, I lived in the Slovak Republic for a while (93-94 in Bratislava and Trencin) and I don't really remember them from my time there!

Cheers! M2

My son gets them at the Shipley's on Austin Highway. They are very authentic, all the employees are Vietnamese.

Kolache is another way to say pig in a blanket. A sausage wrapped in a cool bun.

Near Jim's. Next to Rooster's barbershop. Basically it's facing highway 16/Bandera. That one's an easier drive for me.
