I know, I know, but I just can't bear to part with the darn thing if it can be fixed

I have a mid/late 80s Quasar console tv that will come on for a bit then shut off, as if it's either overloading or overheating. I haven't been able to find the manual or schematics (remember when your appliances & electronics came with the schematics?) to see if this model has a fuse or not.

I've just about given up calling places in the phone book or Reporter..imagine the silences I've gotten! "Ya got a what? It still works?"

There is a guy, on Blanco Rd., that does work on big screen TV's...you might try him. Don't have the number, but he is on Blanco Rd., just north of McCarty Rd., outside 410. He has a minivan parked in the driveway that says "big screen TV repair)
