Is it good cause it sure looks and sounds good online. They keep plugging this place on Ticket 760 and 1250 everyday.

I've tried it in Monterrey, Mexico. I enjoyed it a lot there, I'll have to see how the one here compares!

I've been there about 4 times. It's good! I recommend it without hesitation.

Last week when we were there, it was very uncrowded. I fear they can't stay in business with so few customers on a weeknight.

We've eaten there about 4 or 5 times. The food is good (we always get the "Establo" tacos). I agree, all the times we have been there, it has never been super busy. Because of this, I think they have cut back on staff, and, consequently their service suffered greatly the last time we were there. Case in point, there were only 2 servers for about 15 tables. We were a group of 9 and one of our party diners had to wait about 15 mins. for his order while the rest of us had already finished our meals. He insisited we go ahead and eat rather than let it get cold. I'm not sure we will be going back. It really is a shame since we were excited about the possiblity of a bit of variety in dining choices.

Is the 1604 location the only one in SA?

Anyways, is the food there "Mexican Mexican" food or is there Tex Mex on the menu?

It's good, if you enjoy paying $20 for a $10 meal.

It's the only location in the USA. The others are in Mexico.

I have no idea of the difference. I know that the radio commercials emphasize that everything is grilled and there are no enchiladas on the menu. IIRC, the commercials say that it's northern Mexico regional cooking.

I don't recall any entrees that were more than $13. If you order 4 tacos and a side a la carte, you might spend that much.

Last time I was there, I got two tacos and a side of beans a la carte. I think my meal came to about $11, including iced tea.

If it weren't out in the back of beyond I'd try it, but that's way too much of a trek for me.
