Thanks!! I actually just started to try and eat a little healthier so maybe a salad is a good idea. I will have my daughters with me so I'm sure a pizza will be on our list.

Now for the test............. Can I eat ONLY the salad and NO pizza??

I doubt it!

TX,

My recommendation for Grimaldi's is for their pizza and pizza only. Their salads and calzones are okay, but nothing to travel for.

Toppings... Pepperoni and mushroom or sausage, roasted red pepper, and mushroom are favorites here.

It would be hard to go in there and smell all the wonderful pizza smells and not have a slice!

But the salads are great too. So have both

Oh, it's pretty small in there, and not really a sit-down fancy place. There are some tables, but I think most of their business is carryout.

Also, Big Lou's has foldable cheese pie that's really good. It's on the SE side but worth the drive from the NW side.....leave a trail of M&M's so you can find your way back, and have a sweet treat after all that pizza.

And, Little Italy is hands-down my favorite cheese pie in this whole town. Nice place for a good Italian meal, too. It's near Blanco and West....behind the DQ.
Garlic knots are awesome from Mrs Ellie's

I second the Central Park Pizza downtown. Very good, and sold by the slice!

For the gourmet pizza, I agree that Grimaldi's is excellent. And while Big Lou's doesn't exactly capture that NY taste, it's still very, very good, and it's always fun to see people attempting to devour one of their gigantic pizzas.
