Wow! What a storm the other night, right? It BLEW UP our surge protector and blew out something in our monitor....so we JUST got the new one today!!! Yea, back on line. Ladies, if you every wonder how to find the time to get things done around the house, just blow out your computer monitor and you would be AMAZED at the stuff that you get done without the internet to sit and enjoy!!! LOL

Did anyone else take a hit in this last storm, or am I special????

(I DID monitor the BB from work for the past few days during lunch...can only go SO long without the important things in life, right???)

I suppose I should have checked, but we were super busy that evening and it caught us TOTALLY off guard! When they said it would start raining that afternoon and that did not pan out, I just figured that it wasn't going to materalize. Guess I need to pay closer attention for sure!!!

Paka,
You live in Westcreek, correct? Same here, but I didn't get hit. I remember walking home last year when a big storm came through. I was only about 50 yards from my house, but it wasn't raining yet. I saw one lightening bolt hit the ground about a block away in front of me. I didn't have time to think about it as the thunder struck with a loud clap in less than a 1/2 second. Needless to say, I can still run the 50-yard dash after all these years! I remember some other house in Westcreek getting struck by lightening last year. Maybe our subdivision has something alien buried underneath!

Good to hear you're OK. You might want to check the wiring in your house for any damage.
