We are moving to San Antonio from DFW in the next two weeks and we are trying to find out if anyone has any information/opinion on this area. The manager seemed very nice on the phone, but all I can find online are ravings by someone who seems very disgruntled (and possibly drunk). So I am not relying on that. I just want to know if it is a safe neighborhood? How are the schools there? We have a 7 year old. Thank you very much for your time!

Using a Google search, I found 13 reviews and all seem to be favorable. Which is very surprising since most people usually complain moreso than compliment. I usually take reviews with a grain of salt though as the good reviews are usually employees.

You can also view the street in Google Maps by clicking the map on the link I provided. It looks as if it located on a dirt road or in the boonies.

Smile Thank you!

I familiarized myself more with all of the areas, and I think we will be staying in NE now, hopefully. I appreciate your efforts.

Default Brahan Bl. / Westfort neighborhood is a really nice area

I've lived in this area for years. This is not the boonies as the one person implies. It's a really nice quiet urban place to live. We all feel safe. Great area to walk. Especially being so close to downtown. It's not a bad walk to get to the north entrance of the new extension of the Riverwalk. The tree lined street on Brahan makes me feel good every time I drive up. The schools are very good. Hawthorne Academy is the elementary/middle school. It's a charter school. Free childcare for 3 - 5 year olds. That was a nice savings for us. Edison is the high school. Also good. My neighborhood improved in recent years by the big upgrade the Westgate has done by the people who bought it a couple of years ago. We were always a good neighborhood. Now the Westgate fits in.
