I am surprised how many need 100k or more to live well in SA.

I heard it was an inexpensive place to live!

It is.... but we like our toys! There are also areas which are not "inexpensive".

It just depends on who you ask. I can live well on much less than my boss, who makes $500K/year.

Have 5 kids, file for wick, Food stamps, Section 8 in a well to do neighborhood, and free Health Care through Care Link most people are set here. That leaves enough money for 22 inch rims on their suburban and spray paint to keep the kids busy.

Living well here to me? A nice M3 BMW, and house out in Stone Oak, and able to put 20% of my income in Savings. So I would say for me $80k and I'm good.

Sadly, this happens often, too often.

It's all relative to how much debt you have....you could be making only $60K a year debt free and be living the same lifestyle as someone making $100K with lots of monthly debt.
