I'll remember that...when I do the same thing.

I can see how the "categorizing" of the inmates can be a huge help. What's going to happen now that the position is being eliminated? Any rumors/ideas?

I think the task will just fall to those that were under him. That may sound ok, but this man has been in this position for many years and I believe he brought a lot of experience and insight to the job. From a staff and inmate safety standpoint, I personally think it was a mistake to get rid of the classification manager position.

The responsibilities may fall to someone (speculating here) that may not share the same level of concern or have the same amount of information gathered over years of applying the classification structure to particular inmates or groups of inmates.

well that sucks. i recently got in a car accident and called 911, was on hold on the phone for at least 5 minutes and then when i got through it took about 25 minutes for sheriff to arrive.
