Hi all, I am relocating to the San Antonio area from North Carolina with my spouse and our toddler daughter. We are in need of a real estate agent. For location, we would like to be within a 20-30 minute commute of the Schertz area. We are looking for a year residential lease, particularly a rental home in safe, quiet, family friendly neighborhood.

I am relocating for work and need to be moved in around June 8th. Because this is so soon, we will not be able to visit the city or properties in person and are looking for an agent who specializes in rentals and relocation. We would like an agent who can visit properties on our behalf to affirm listing information and take additional photos, as well as negotiate a lease agreement.

Our budget for a home is between $1000-1400 a month. A home must be at least 2bd/1ba with a bath tub, be in a family friendly neighborhood, and no more than 30 min to my place of work. A fenced yard, garage, and additional bedroom are nice, but not required.

If you all have any recommendations about agents (or even quickly finding a rental/relocating) please let me know! Thank you!

There is no reason for you to commute to Shertz. Live in Shertz, Selma, or Universal City. All have rental homes in your price range, and the area is family oriented. You have access to plenty of retail, dining, and other amenities without the long commute.

There are dozens of rentals. A good agent out of a local office will have no problem getting you set up.

Even though traffic can be terrible in that area, you are a short drive from the Guadalupe River, a popular spot to float slowly on a 'tube, Schlitterbahn water park in New Braunfels, and the outlet mall which is a quick drive up to San Marcos.

Thank you! Ideally we would live in Schertz and I wouldn't have to commute at all! But I don't mind it a great deal comes up a little further out.

Does anyone have recommendations on an agent? We need someone to look at rental homes for us and negotiate a lease agreement since we can't be there in person.
